Dr. Naomi Arbit draws on her training as a psychotherapist, behavioral scientist, mindfulness teacher and coach in supporting clients to grow through challenges and create meaningful change in their lives. She works with a diverse range of clients, including adolescents and adults at all stages of life.
Skill Building
Naomi supports clients in building effective skills to regulate their emotions and overcome obstacles. She draws on evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and mindfulness practices. She helps people live out their values, improve their health and functioning, cultivate resilience and deepen their sense of meaning, purpose and wellbeing.
Mindfulness & Insight
Naomi teaches mindfulness-based skills to individuals and groups, including the following programs: Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP), and Mindful Self Compassion (MSC).
Naomi helps people become more compassionate towards themselves and integrates Buddhist philosophy into her work. Sessions with Naomi involve the deepening of insight and self understanding.
